By the laws of nature, the more complex life is, the more vulnerable it is. By the laws of nature, the more self-righteous and intelligent a race is, the easier it is to destroy. Disaster struck. The Earth erupted into a catastrophe of unprecedented proportions, destroying almost all species and depriving the few that survived of the ability to stabilize their genes, including the human race. Since then, humans have lived under the umbrella of a computer that can predict the future and reproduce through cloning, in a sense, humans have long since ceased to exist, and according to the laws of nature, an animal that cannot reproduce naturally is not a species. There are many theories about the cataclysm. One theory is that it was the result of a nuclear war, but a nuclear war could not have messed up the genes of life so badly; others say it was the result of an unusually powerful magnetic explosion from the sun.
